I'm Karen, a freelance graphic designer from Tasmania, Australia who has recently returned from working in the UK.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Communications with Honours in 2009 from the University of Tasmania, I have managed my own design studio, working on a wide variety of projects from festivals and events to corporate communications. I am experienced in print design, primarily branding and promotions.

I have worked as a regular in-house freelance designer for Redjelly Australia for the past three years, and for the past four I have lectured and tutored Visual Communication and Narrative Illustration at the University of Tasmania, College of the Arts.

Whilst in the UK, I worked for Oliver Marketing on the PepsiCo UK account, designing for brands such as Doritos, Walkers Crisps, Tropicana and Quaker Oats.

Design and theatre are two of my greatest passions. As well as performing in local productions, I have produced three musicals in Hobart with my theatre company Bijou Creative; The Boy Friend in 2010, Little Women: The Musical in 2012 and most recently Ordinary Days in 2013 – a co-production with The Tasmanian Theatre Company.
